KIM Mihi
Korean flautist Mihi Kim, Grand Prize of the Bayreuth International Competition in 2000, has supported the approach of Laëtitia and Jean-Christophe since 2021, when they meet at the International Academy of Arts of Flaine (French Hautes Alpes). All three share the same taste for the opera repertoire and work towards its democratization through musical publishing. Mihi Kim notably created an arrangement. from Lensky's Air, taken from Tchaikovsky's famous opera Eugene Onegin, and published by Alry Publications.
In July 2024, Mihi and Laëtitia share the bill of a concert dedicated to opera's aria at the Saint-Merry Church (Paris) and, accompanied by pianist Jennifer Fichet, perform two of the fantasies written by Jean-Christophe: the "Fantasy about Lakmé" and the "Fantasy about Madame Butterfly".
Two weeks later, the two artists met again in Flaine. There they will create, with the pianist Bertrand Giraud (creator of the Fantaisie sur La Bohème with Laëtitia 1 year earlier), the new "Paraphrase sur Iolanta" (Tchaikovsky) for two flutes and piano, which will be published by RLF Editions next September .
